Feedback Mechanism

The Institute has a practice of collecting structured feedback for design and review of syllabus from the stakeholders such as Teachers, Students, Alumni, Parents and Employers. Matters related to relevance of objectives and outcomes, flexibility of the content, relevance of the content to changing technological and societal needs, teaching-learning procedure, and the use of infrastructural facilities for developing requisite skills, knowledge and attitudes are incorporated in the feedback forms. The Principal and the IQAC Coordinator make it a mandatory to collect the feedback from various stakeholders.

Duly filled feedback forms are to be forwarded to IQAC for analysis. They collect and analyse the feedback form and make suggestions to the appropriate bodies. The performance of the college fundamentally depends on effective analysis of the received feedback. Feedback is being used to develop and provide infrastructure facilities to the students, smooth conduction of the institution, improve the teaching skills of the faculty, improvement in placements, encouraging students to improve their subject knowledge, etc.

Objectives:
The main objective of the exercise is to correctly gauge the impact of all the efforts taken by the institution at all levels on the various stakeholders. Feedback mechanism is an essential and effective tool to know whether the college is maintaining its quality in all aspects. The collected feedback analysed and reports are generated using statistical methods of analysis. Based on the opinion of the stakeholders, further action is taken by the IQAC.

  • Feedback is collected from the students by circulating the Feedback Forms. It is collected and brought to IQAC for further analysis. Effective teaching-learning, administration, library facilities, etc. are evaluated using the feedback obtained from students. The Statistical data is handed over to the College administration. Further suggestions are incorporated by the departments, the College Council and the Governing Board.
  • Alumni Feedback is collected from graduated students during their visit to college. Productivity and the effectiveness of curriculum are evaluated by analysing the feedback obtained from former students of the college. The filled forms are sent for further action.
  • Feedback is collected from teachers by circulating the feedback forms. Teacher's survey was conducted at the end of the semester/academic year to evaluate the curriculum. Since teachers know the syllabus well and its execution, we have included six questions related to curriculum for the survey.
  • Employer Feedback is collected either in person or through online and is analysed further.
  • IQAC collects inputs and suggestions from the stakeholders and further action to be taken is discussed with departments and authorities.
  • Feedbacks are also to be taken from all the Stakeholders to analyse the overall institutional performance in different aspects like Administrative Office, Library and various other activities organized by the college.
